SODA Manchester
Shaping the curriculum for a £35 million school built for the digital storytellers of the future.
The brief was to develop ground-breaking curriculum models for creative digital storytellers of the future, across courses in games, film, animation, creative technology, media production and other digital arts.
At the same time I was a Senior Lecturer at Manchester School of Art, leading creative technology across a number of degrees, including as programme leader for the BA Creative Multimedia and on the BA Filmmaking. From 2015 to 2018 my R&D at SODA focused on immersive storytelling, the thread that ran through the Immersive Storylab collective I had founded in 2014 and, later, the MA Immersive Arts at LJMU.
