Pathway Studios
Realtime content, in-camera VFX and innovation on a 6,000 sq ft LED volume in Manchester.
The facility and crew offer development and production, pre-visualisation, virtual art design and more, and innovate in areas such as machine learning and motion capture. I worked across production and R&D, and on the training and incubator programmes that grew around the stage.
Partners and projects included BBC Three (Jason Derulo's Project Ikon), ITV, a Sony virtual production event, McLaren, advertising projects with TAG, Gate Films and National Energy Action, an ARRI test shooting virtual production on 65mm film, 5G innovation projects, and work with Hurricane Films, Three Minutes West and Red Bull.
We also launched Pathway Indie, a £2m virtual production incubator for independent filmmakers, and delivered training programmes for universities and industry.
